What Is Qigong [pronounced chee gong] you may ask?

'Qi' means energy (life/universal energy) and 'Gong' means cultivation, mastery of, mastery & cultivation of your natural life energy.

It's still quite unknown in the UK compared to the more well known Tai Chi, however Qigong is approximately 5000 years old, whereas Tai Chi is approximately only 700 years old in comparison.

Tai Chi developed from Qigong and is considered a form of Qigong.

Qigong is a safe accessible practice for people of all ages and fitness/mobility levels which sets it apart from the strictures of yoga & Tai Chi.

It is breath work with gentle movement, it focuses the mind, is meditative and utilises focused intention.

It is simpler than the more complex Tai Chi, hence easy to learn for all ages & abilities. Even 5 or 10 mins in the morning before work can be very beneficial for mind body spirit for example.

It improves fitness, strength, pain management, enhances immunity, improves sleep quality, reduces cortisol/stress anxiety levels, alleviates pain, regulates emotional balance, enhances spiritual progression and much more!

I qualified as a Qigong teacher at Moonrise Studios in Huby North Yorkshire under the Forest Rock lineage in Bali.

I am currently offering 1:1 tuition and soon will be providing a local class in the near future. Any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
